  • Also me: How did Katara and Sokka have blue parkas, kimonos, etc.? Indigo dye was naturally created using plants and berries but there were no plants and berries in the south pole (since everything is made out of ice and snow) and it's been well-established that the Southern Water Tribe lost all contact with the real world years ago so are they just wearing hand-me-downs, whose hand-me-downs, is Katara wearing her dead mother's kimono because that would be messed up, wouldn't it? And I know it's such a tiny detail but since Bryke literally spent years researching and establishing all of these tiny details, it seems odd that they would leave out this one and I need to know how their clothes were dyed blue when no plants were available or else this show about a bunch of people telekinetically moving the elements and befriending a regenerated soul fused with the spirit of light makes no sense!
